My poor arowana deceased around 2 weeks ago and I guess its right to pay some respect to it virtually and the final memory will be wipe out soon as my platoon mate wants to have my fish tank which I have no more use for. Reservist Week 01

Been sometime since I updated this blog. Had a really enjoyable and yet exhausting time towards the end of this week (25-31st July). Reservist started on Monday and booking in was relatively no sweat, as I realised the first 2-3 days were relatively slow and mostly practicing "IBM" (individual body maintenance) as there were few issues going on. More work came on thursday and friday as I was made to carry heavy stores which really "awaken" my untested body and making me aching all over till now.

Had a real scare as news was that the batallion was going to be outfield for 3days2nite (bangkok trip?) and I will be doing a lot of logistics preparation during the exercise. While the real good news came when the OC announce everything have been changed on friday evening as the entire batallion will be on alert manning and the outfield have been cancelled. WOW! Major good news as its really shitty to let the mossies come squeeze my tiring AB+ blood, or the mud come ruining my nice black boots.

The company will be having a good time this coming thursday with a coesive nite which we will probably have cheap $1 tiger and some low cost snacks to enjoy ourselve. Plus some "discarded" finalist from Project SuperStar to give us some nice songs for entertainment purpose.

Miss my wife and daughter these few days, and nice to hear my daughter calling me "da-di" when I return home, the biggest achivement maybe? hehehe. Well, sorrie fellow CPJs if you are reading this I will only be returning another week from now. Well, saw the email of the Company's address on the 5th August... And the last agenda is "promotion" which as usually will not involved me... Anyway much as my "god nu-er" wants me to be there, I guess I won't be discharge by noon anyway to make it for my company's address.

As the helicopter fly pass, I tried to capture it but in vain :(
It was a spectacular night as F16, F4, chinock and other helicopters simply flew pass the building within 50m distance in some situation. The fireworks at nite was really eye-catching as it burst right in front of the restaurant's glass windows.

Oh by the way. Do you know the fireworks can hardly reach 60storey (or about 245m in height)? The highest firecracker that burst should be about 255m at the most.

Here is the interior of the restaurant. Here is my dessert. Steaming with dry ice....

Notice the NDP parade is ongoing below, mass crowd gathering down there.....

Another aerial view..... Its really nice and magnificent...

Caption from Level 60 (245m from ground)

View from UOB P1aza... Simply awesome!

Had a wonderful evening enjoying the sumptous dinner at Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant on 16th July, Singapore's tallest restaurant located at level 60 of UOB P1aza. The exact height I'm at should be about 254m, while the peak of that building is at 280m (level 66).

A nice and cosy evening follow as 3 of us (me, my wife and my sister-in-law) enjoy the view outside as the mock NDP parade is going on downstairs opposite the building. Its absolutely class to be there, with them serving "8-bao-char" tea cup with 8 types of herbs. The waiter will use a gold water flash with a 1.2m long sprout. You got to be there to witness the way he pour boiling water into your cup of tea. I shall share more ..... Images....

K750i in blast Silver colour. It just looks different from the black. If only K750i is available in style-up removable covers. hehe.

The Camera Side of K750i Silver. Look radically different from from the black brother. Should I get this colour?

W800i.... Coming soon... Heard that the finishing is nicer than K750i and the keypad layout and feel is also better. On the left is K700i and S700i on the right.

Successor to S700i, swivel "Sakura" handset should be announce by Sept 2005.

MIA for sometime :)

Its been quite a busy week thought I'm still trying to give myself some moments to relax and enjoy myself. My poor daughter have been sick for more than a week, start from the MMR jab on the 29 June, leading to her coughing and running nose, later develop fever and after which rashes all over her body. Have either bought her to clinic or through her nanny for 4 times over the last 14days. For those whom thinking of giving birth to a baby next time do reserve some cash for your baby's medical fees, and maybe buy for her accident related insurance.

Life have seems to go from bad to worse, and I'm really feeling lose and sick. Mood to work have totally evaporated and what's left now is just a shell trying to act as though I'm still happy ever after. Well, perhaps the urgency to push for my new phone is to distract myself and perhaps to give an injection of life to my mindless soul.

Commission does seem to be improving, as more deals should be able to finalise before the end of this year. Generally its a smooth sail for me but seems like the department is really going to bleed in red this year, I really wonder if there is still bonus or not for this year.

Another 10 over days later and I will have to report to Lim Chu Kang soon, start my once a year nightmare which I really pray will end soon. The only consolation is that I can really put down my work and feel relax during the 2 weeks, hopefully no assignment deadline due when I return.

Well, I shall end my ranting here for the moment, and hope when I post again a black MP3 player spotting the print of "SONY ERICSSON" can be next to me. I shall leave the S800/S900i image to share with the folks here. This is the much rumoured "sakura" handset that will be replacing S700i this year, and judging from the current situation it probably is a 3G handset with a 240x320pixel screen. Give me 240x320 video recording capability and a 3.2MP CCD camera and I shall dump the K750i immediately.
